About Nate & Stage Door Unlocked
My name is Nate Plummer. I am the founder of Stage Door Unlocked. I created this business with one goal in mind: To make professional quality training and resources available to performers of all levels all over the country.
When I started out as an actor in this industry I realized how much I didn't know. I knew how to act, but not how to BE an actor. There were so many things about being a performer that were not taught in school - resumes, unions, auditions, managers, agents - it was overwhelming. Trying to find the information about these things was hard. It either didn't exist or it cost so much money that I couldn't afford to get the information I needed to be successful.
I was lucky. I had amazing friends in this industry who, over many cups of coffee would teach me the ins and outs of this business. When I became a Voice Teacher and Audition Coach I wanted EVERY actor to have the opportunity to have access to this information. To have access to it in the way I did - where it was as simple as having a cup of coffee with a friend.
Here at Stage Door Unlocked, every program is as laid back as just talking with a trusted friend. Whether it is in a Private Voice or Acting Session or in one of our group programs like The Green Room, the mission stays the same: Learning and Growing Free of Status or Judgement. No one is better than anyone else. That includes every student and teacher. We are all here to grow and to share in each others' journeys. When you are part of Stage Door Unlocked, you are part of a team.
Let us work together to help every person find their Stage Door.
